Ex-NASCAR driver Carl Edwards was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of Class of 2025. The legendary racer finally got the recognition he deserved and everyone in the NASCSAR community is happy to see it. It includes Trackhosue Racing’s Daniel Suarez, who was with JGR when Edwards was driving for them.

Daniel Suarez in a recent interview with Fox Sports highlighted how much of a special person Carl Edwards was for him. He pointed out that the Hall of Famer and Kyle Busch played a huge role in his development in NASCAR where the latter guided him in the lower divisions while the latter guided him in the Cup series.

Carl is a special individual. I like Carl a lot. Between Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards, they were the two drivers that literally gave me a hand when I was coming up. When I was in the Truck Series and Xfinity Series it was Kyle Busch, he helped me a lot. And once I went to Cup, Carl Edwards was that guy that was helping me a lot.
Daniel Suarez told Fox Sports.

Surez, who replaced Edwards when he retired, pointed out that despite going away from the sport the veteran was there to help him. He also shared his wish to see the Hall of Famer makes NASCAR return and race in there once more.

He was slowly going his way and he was still helping me just to get rolling. Carl is an amazing guy. He definitely deserves to be part of the Hall of Fame. I wish he comes back to race every once in a while.

Daniel Suarez reveals why he left JGR after just two years

The Mexican-born racer, who is now a US Citizen, didn’t last long after he took over Edwards’ seat. He failed to establish himself there at JGR and had to bounce between multiple teams to now final find a home at Trackhouse.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t in the cards for me. After that, I was bouncing from team to team until now I finally found the place where they not just believe in me, but also my voice has a weight and I’m able to make adjustments in my team based on what I see and feel.
Daniel Suarez said.

The wish shared by Suarez is something many fans in the NASCAR community expects to happen as well. But it might not play out as they hope it would as multiple times over the years Edwards has asserted that he might not make a comeback.
