The NASCAR community went through one of the most controversial months in its history, in the 2025 off-season as the anti-trust lawsuit filed against the sport by 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports went into litigation. 23XI Racing co-owner Denny Hamlin, talking about the lawsuit, has revealed that the sports have delivered on all the promises they made. The promises include evergreen charters, change in the championship format and other changes that would benefit all the NASCAR Cup Series teams in the garage.
It’s been a really good working relationship, and they’ve (NASCAR) delivered on everything they promised us.
Denny Hamlin said.
Further talking about the point, Denny Hamlin reveals how he is now involved in NASCAR decision making more than ever as the leadership is more transparent with the owners. Just like everyone in the community, the Joe Gibbs Racing veteran wants the sport to succeed and is playing a key role by being the voice of reason.
I’ve had quite a bit of dialogue with (NASCAR CEO) Steve O’Donnell. They’ve allowed me to sit in on the new competition committee with Chad Knaus, Wally Brown, and Travis Geisler and a few others to make decisions on the next superspeedway package and things like that… I want to see the sport succeed.

Denny Hamlin is seeking advice from NASCAR legends on retirement
One major discussion in the NASCAR community at the moment is how long it would take for Hamlin to retire as he is 45 years old and in peak form. Father time would eventually catch up, and he is looking to retire before the eventual slump. He is ready seek advice from the likes of Kevin Harvick and Mark Martin, two racing legenda that raced into late 40’s in NASCAR.

I’m going to contact people like Kevin Harvick, who had a lot of success late in his career, and Mark Martin. I mean he was winning races at 50. It was quite incredible. I don’t know. I just want to talk to them about finding out when the right time is for them.
Denny Hamlin told ESPN SportsCenter,
He wants to learn which is the right time for him to step back, as he is already raced 23 years in the sport. The veteran is planning to race as long as he is capable of winning races and the moment, he feels he isn’t competitive enough, he will move on.
I feel pretty confident in the date that I set out, and it’ll be enough time for me. That’s 23 years. That’s enough. It’s a lot of races that we’ve won during the course of my career. So, I don’t want to regret it, but I just think that I want to know that I’m capable of winning in my final year.
Denny Hamlin added.
The comments from the veteran racer are on point and shows the community needs to celebrate Hamlin, as it won’t be long before he retires. It would be interesting to see how many more races the No:11 team can win before the eventual retirement.
