Denver Nuggets star Aaron Gordon's brother Drew Gordon tragically passes away in a car accident, leaves behind wife and 3 children

Denver Nuggets superstar Aaron Gordon has a brother named Drew who played in the NBA for a brief amount of time. Drew Gordon, 33, tragically passed away in a car accident earlier today. He is left behind by his three children, wife and family.

ESPN and Andscape writer Marc J. Spears confirmed that the older Gordon’s agent broke the news to them that the former Philadelphia 76ers player died in a car accident in Portland, Oregon, today. He is survived by his wife Angela and their 3 children. Although details of the accident are not available, the death leaves the young family shattered. He last played in the Japanese basketball league before retiring from the sport last year.

His brother Aaron Gordon plays for the Denver Nuggets and was a crucial piece in their championship-winning run last season. The younger Gordon was instrumental in helping his older brother and his family avoid getting stuck in Ukraine just as the war was about to break out.

Aaron Gordon joins Michael Porter Jr. in facing trying time with family issues

Gordon’s teammate Michael Porter Jr. might not have lost any of his brothers to death. But one, Jontay Porter, has lost his occupation after getting banned by the NBA for betting. Another younger brother, Coban, was sentenced to 8 years in prison for killing a woman in a drunk-driving car crash.

The Nuggets are in a precarious position with two of their starting superstars struggling with family issues. Aaron Gordon’s loss is much bigger than that of his teammate’s. Therefore, the team and their teammates will have to support their stars emotionally by standing beside them.

The Denver Nuggets had a disappointing end in their quest to repeat as NBA Champions. They have time on their hands as Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr. get time to spend with their families before the season resumes in October.
