Dez Bryant has been an integral part of the Dallas sporting community. After playing superstar-level football with the Dallas Cowboys, the now-retired wideout still maintains an appreciation for sports teams based in the city, which is why he has been following the NBA Conference Finals intensely.
One of his takeaways from those playoff games is that Kyrie Irving is proving everyone wrong. Bryant wants a docuseries to come out covering what the Dallas Mavericks superstar has had to endure. While showering Irving with high praise, the former wideout posted the same on his official X account.
How he continues to overcome adversity.. a lotta people and brands left him out to rot…betting on yourself ain’t easy.. you can fall and never get back up…the public scrutiny he faced and now couple of games away from being a nba champion.. even if he don’t get the ring.. it was his journey that stood out. He deserves his own docu series and much more!Dez Bryant wrote
Dez Bryant basically reminded everyone in the sporting world what all Kyrie Irving went through. To endure all that and come back to almost reach the NBA Finals means he has silenced those critics.
Therefore, Bryant felt someone should come forward and create a docuseries about Irving betting on himself and coming back to the top. Even if everyone wanted him out of the league, it is similar to rising from the ashes for the Dallas Mavericks superstar.
Kyrie Irving went from being one of the most controversial figures in the NBA to now being praised for showing the maturity and leadership he has instilled in his game and also in his team. The Mavericks have rallied around him to be one game away from reaching the NBA Finals.
Dez Bryant wants everyone to back off Caleb Williams after rough 1st day of training
Through his social media account, the former All-Pro wide receiver had some thoughts about Caleb Williams, especially after journalists revealed that the Chicago Bears No. 1 draft pick had a ‘rough day’ in training camp.
It’s normal Get off the gas!Dez Bryant wrote
This was a direct suggestion to reporters that it is normal for players to struggle initially. Therefore, they should not be expecting wonders from any rookie even if one is the No. 1 overall pick.
All rookies are making a major jump from the college level to the pros. That itself is a difficult transition. Therefore, it is quite normal for them to learn as they go and then show improvements as the days go by. They have to get accustomed to new offensive schemes, plays and even the speed and reaction of the receivers.
Therefore, as Dez Bryant put it, it is quite normal to miss clear targets. In time, Caleb Williams will improve. His real abilities will start to show after the first few games of the regular season.
