Denny Hamlin reveals Samanth Busch and Kids brought out the best in Kyle Busch
The family changed Kyle Busch and made him a great racer, like many of his racing counterparts. His former teammate Denny Hamlin talked about it ahead of the Charlotte race. He highlighted how when they were first racing together, he was seen as an immature racer before him wife changed him for good and this factor makes the loss more heartbreaking.

Just the maturity. A lot of it was that he met [his wife] Samantha. They had some kids together, which is fantastic. That’s the most heartbreaking thing about this. He’s been so invested in his son’s future and career that will truly be ahead of him. The guy wasn’t always the most mature when I was teammates with him.
Denny Hamlin said.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the Busch changed as a person and a racer when he was in is 30’s. He produced the most dominant races of his career in that time and according to Hamlin it was the best version of his teammate he has ever seen.
He was only a few years younger, but it just seemed like he was so brash and he wasn’t for everyone when it came to his off-track personality… I just know he really went through a time right around where he was 30, where he started a family and he just changed, like all of us do that have kids one day. It definitely changed those peaks and valleys of his emotions. We had a more steady Kyle Busch. Really, the best Kyle Busch.
Denny Hamlin added.
The family man changes also helped the veteran racer to become one of the fan favorite after being the villain for years in the sport. It would be interesting to see how everything the racing community is going to honor the legend in the coming days.
