Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is making a new movie and people can barely recognize him. The movie is about Mark Kerr, the legendary MMA fighter, and the first look just came out. People are having mixed reactions to Johnson’s new look.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is working on a new sports biopic. In the first look, Johnson looks barely recognizable. The image shows Johnson resting in the corner of a ring with short black hair and no tattoos. The movie also features actress Emily Blunt starring alongside Johnson. She plays Kerr’s girlfriend, Dawn Staples, and is in the picture outside the ring.

The movie is about Mark Kerr, the legendary wrestler and MMA fighter who was an icon in combat sports in the early 2000s. The movie is titled ‘The Smashing Machine’ one of Kerr’s many nicknames. It is set to release in 2025 and will explore Kerr’s career and struggles with painkillers, marriage, and life. Mark Kerr was a two-time UFC Heavyweight Tournament Champion and World Vale Tudo Championship tournament winner.

In 2002, HBO released a documentary called ‘The Smashing Machine’ that explored Kerr’s life and career. Meanwhile, Johnson’s film with the same name is written and directed by filmmaker Benny Safdie and distributed by A24. Safdie is famous for co-directing the 2019 crime thriller film ‘Uncut Gems’ with his brother, Josh Safdie.
