Bret Hart once again grabbed people’s attention with his comments about WCW in the first episode of “Who Killed WCW?”. He aimed at the former senior vice president of WCW, Eric Bischoff, and labeled him as Hulk Hogan‘s puppet. All in all, The Hitman didn’t use any kind words to describe his time in the company. The former GM of Raw expressed his honest opinions during an interview.
While speaking on the 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff was asked about Bret Hart‘s comments on the first episode. The veteran stated that he wasn’t surprised by them and that Hart always complained about everything. He further added that he felt bad for the Hall of Famer when they met a few days ago in Australia.
The 69-year-old veteran mentioned that his time wasn’t joyful at all, and he blamed part of it on the Montreal Screwjob incident. Moreover, the death of his brother, Owen Hart, was a crucial moment for him, ultimately leading to his disconnection from the business. Bischoff stated that he couldn’t take him seriously and wouldn’t take responsibility for his actions.
Did I expect Bret Hart to be crabby and grouchy and blame the world? Sure. We hear it every time we hear Bret, he's angry at somebody, nothing new there. I don't know, maybe deep down inside he's a very joyful person, but he looks miserable, it's the same old st. Bret didn't have a fking clue what was going on in WCW.Eric BIschoff on Bret Hart via 83 Weeks
After making his WCW debut in 1997, the leader of the Hart Foundation won everything there was to win. He became the fifth Triple Crown Champion and won the Tag Team Championships with Goldberg. The company terminated Hart’s contract three years later, and he announced his retirement from professional wrestling six days after that.
Eric Bischoff slammed top female AEW stars Toni Storm and Serena Deeb
After failing to accomplish big things in WWE, Toni Storm has rejuvenated her career in the Jacksonville-based company and became a top star. Her character resonated well with the audience, and she has been the AEW Women’s Champion for a total of 156 days. However, Eric Bischoff wasn’t impressed and criticized her recent match against Serena Deeb at the Double or Nothing PPV.
While speaking on the same podcast, the veteran admitted that, although she had a lot of potential, she wasn’t ready for a match like this. He didn’t shy away from saying that both the champion and the challenger, Deeb, didn’t deserve to be on TV. The Timeless defended her title against the former Straight Edge Society member and emerged victorious in the match.
That match was horrible, and Toni Storm's got a great character, she really does, she's got a handle on her character. She has a lot of potential, but she is not ready for a match like this. That match was sloppy as f**k.Eric Bischoff via the 83 Weeks podcast
Bischoff explained that he was sick of hearing the tagline, “Where the best wrestle.” He said that AEW made a bold statement, showcasing the wrestlers who didn’t deserve the TV time. The 69-year-old even went on to say that the match was sloppy at best.
