Channing Tatum brought Hollywood flair to the 2026 FIFA World Cup by showing up in full support of Erling Haaland during Norway’s Group I match against France on June 26.
The 46 year old actor was spotted among Norway supporters at Boston Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, wearing the national team’s jersey with Haaland’s No. 9 on the back. Tatum also appeared to wear a blond wig, closely resembling the Norwegian striker as he celebrated with fans near the pitch before and during the match.
His appearance continued a playful partnership with Haaland that began before the World Cup. Earlier this month, the pair starred together in a Nike advertisement promoting Norway’s tournament campaign. In the commercial, both wore matching Norway kits while meditating side by side.
Sharing the campaign on Instagram on June 6, Tatum wrote, “Ripped the script with my new stunt double.” In another promotional clip released as part of the campaign, Tatum again wore a blond wig similar to the one he sported at the World Cup. Haaland reacted to his look by saying, “Handsome man.”
Although Haaland started Friday’s game on the bench, he entered the tournament finale after scoring four goals across Norway’s opening two group stage matches. Those performances helped Norway qualify for the Round of 32 before facing France.
Tatum’s appearance in the stands became one of the most memorable celebrity moments of the day as he backed the Manchester City striker and Norway from inside a crowd of passionate supporters.
France finishes top of Group I after Ousmane Dembele’s hat-trick
While Channing Tatum entertained fans in the stands, France delivered one of its strongest performances of the tournament on the field, defeating Norway 4-1 to secure first place in Group I.
Ousmane Dembele scored a first-half hat trick within 35 minutes to put France in complete control. His goals came in the seventh, 20th, and 32nd minutes before Désiré Doué added a fourth goal in stoppage time.

Norway briefly responded through Thelonious Aasgaard after Andreas Schjelderup set him up, reducing the deficit to 2 1. The team had another chance to get back into the contest in the second half after Oscar Bobb won a penalty, but Jørgen Strand Larsen’s spot kick was saved by France goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
Norway manager Ståle Solbakken made sweeping changes to his lineup, resting Erling Haaland along with several regular starters after the team had already secured qualification for the Round of 32.
France also entered the match with a knockout berth already confirmed, but Didier Deschamps’ side maintained its momentum by finishing the group stage with 10 goals scored across three matches. The result sent France through as Group I winners and into a Round of 32 match in New Jersey, while Norway advanced as runners-up and will face Côte d’Ivoire in Texas.
