Clay 'Dream' addresses pedophile accusations
In a shocking turn of events, Minecraft YouTuber Clay ‘Dream’ was accused of grooming and pedophilia by some mysterious Twitter users. A day after the accusations took place, the content creator took to his alternate Twitter account to explain how he is fed up of all these false accusations.
The popular streamer broke YouTube when he decided to show the other side of his mask on October 2nd. The face reveal was followed by some mixed reactions by social media users as they were divided on the streamer’s countenance.
Dream hits back at people spreading negativity and lies surrounding him
Dream’s face reveal became the talk of the town but unfortunately, he met with a series of hate comments from some Twitter users. Not only that, people went on to the extent of starting the ‘HE’S UGLY’ trend on the social media platform. The content creator, however, took things on a light note as he believed that there is going to be some portion who badmouth about oneself.
In a Bloomberg interview, the streamer opened up on these trends on Twitter after his first physical event i.e. TwitchCon 2022 was concluded. However, days later, another shocking trend started on Twitter claiming ‘Dream is a freak’. This was apparently the consequence of an unknown Twitter user starting a Twitter thread where another user accused the Minecraft star of being a pedophile.
The Twitter user named ‘Anastasia’ posted a series of tweets and screenshots, providing evidence that the popular creator had been flirting with her and tried to groom her when she was a minor. The user even shared a screenshot of her blocking ‘Dream’ on Twitter years ago before the face reveal.
This simultaneously occurred with Twitter user ‘Burner’ retweeting the posts made by Anastasia after confirming from a source that the private conversation that was exposed on the platform actually belongs to Dream and the girl in question.
As soon as this revelation took place, a new Twitter trend took place which compelled Dream to address on this issue from his alternate account which is reportedly ‘protected’. The streamer claimed-
“wake up to people making disgusting false accusations for the millionth time. I’m going to enjoy my last couple days in LA and not let people try ruin it. My heart goes out to actual victims who get questioned in their hardest moments because of stuff like this.”
He also addressed the pedophilia accusation by explaining the Minecraft s*x mod thing, he stated that he made a plug-in Minecraft that makes two people shift each other. Lashing out further he wrote-
"I didn't groom a 13 year old, get a life."
Internet seems to be skeptical on the accusations on Dream
Even though a majority of Twitter users are refusing to side with the Minecraft streamer now, they are also skeptical about whether the conversations posted on private accounts are indeed sent by the streamer or not. Dream, on his side is yet to give a proper take on this controversial issue.
