Dripleaves in Minecraft 1.18 are easy to find

Dripleaves are special plants that will close if the player stands on them for too long. It also acts as a platform for a duration of time before closing up.
Dripleaves also have two varieties that can be found naturally in the game. These are Small Dripleaf and Big Dripleaf. The Small Dripleaf variant is generated naturally inside the Lush Cave biomes and grow naturally inside them.

Players can obtain the Dripleaves by using Shears on them. Using any other tools will break the Dripleaves and not give anything to the players. The Small Dripleaf needs to be placed underwater in order to make them grow and make them into Big Dripleaf. However, they need to use Bone Meal in order to make them grow.
Big Dripleaf is the form that can be used to make a platform. Small Dripleaf cannot be used as a platform. These grow to 5 blocks high and also closes when a player stands on top of it for too long.
These can also be found in Lush Caves in Minecraft which are generally found underground and are marked with lush vegetation.
