Following Call Of Duty Mobile’s removal from the Apple App Store, panic spread throughout the mobile gaming industry on a global scale. While iOS users were unable to download or update the game, Android users could still access it through the Google Play Store. When COD Mobile was searched on the Apple App Store, no results appeared, and even when using Google, the webpage was simply stuck on “Connecting”.

This removal took fans back to 2020 when Fortnite was taken down from the Apple App Store. Since then, Apple and Fortnite creator Epic Games have been at odds about how in-app purchases should be handled. Apple’s App Store filed a lawsuit against Epic Games over Fortnite’s V-Bucks restrictions because of its stringent rules regarding in-app and in-game sales. However, as of right now, Fortnite is not accessible through the Apple App Store. Call of Duty Mobile’s official handle confirmed that there has been some issue and they are trying to resolve it.

But, the good news is Call of Duty Mobile is now available on the Appstore after its disappearance.

COD Mobile returned after a few hours of disappearance from the Apple Appstore. The game’s parent company Activision confirmed this with a tweet on Twitter. They also acknowledged that the disappearance of the game from the Appstore was due to an issue that was later rectified.

Activision provided a helpful response to a question about the next global update for Call of Duty Mobile in the same comment thread.

The creator stated that the global update would be accessible on digital stores the following week before Season 1 was released (scheduled to be out on January 18, 2023). This confirmation regarding the global update will help all current tournaments to resume with a hitch.
