The 2023 Game Changers series will close with the VCT Game Changers Championship 2023. Furthermore, eight elite teams from their respective regions are competing in this tournament. These teams have qualified by winning important competitions and earning the most circuit points in their respective areas. From drops to fierce battles, there’s a lot going on in the event. Recently, during the opening match between Team SMG and Evil Geniuses GC, team SMG did a mistaken 4-Duelist comp. And Team SMG still won the match!

This VCT 2023 was one great and memorable event. Many teams showed fans the reason they are the world’s best, and many underdogs proved to be the dark horse of the tournament. Especially teams like Evil Geniuses and KRU Esports played so well that they left fans in awe! Many teams had a really strong standing but didn’t fare well. Moreover, teams that fans had zero expectations from performed really well.

There were loads and loads of explosive, unexpected moments in the VCT 2023. And it seems like the VCT Game Changers Championship 2023 is having such out-of-pocket moments as well! And the opening match between Evil Geniuses GC vs Team SMG was one such out-of-pocket match!

The VCT Game Changers Championship 2023 showcases the best female players in VALORANT from North America, Latin America, Brazil, East Asia, EMEA, and APAC. Valorant’s eSports scene is flourishing right now! Moreover, tournaments like this always have something really fierce going on. Moreover, the tournament has started, and the opening day was a blast! The YouTube and Twitch livestreams were stocked with viewers!

And especially the Upper Quarterfinals between Evil Geniuses GC vs Team SMG, was one fierce match. Both sides gave their best; however, Team SMG cleanly swept Evil Geniuses GC with a score of 2-0. Moreover, recent news has titled the fan base hilariously.

During the first map— Lotus, Team SMG had a 4-Duelist composition against EG. Everyone thought how absurd and weird it was; however, SMG totally trashed Evil Geniuses GC with a score of 13-3! And Team SMG’s member, Enerii, who was playing a Sentinel during the first map, just revealed that the 4-Duelist comp was actually a mistake. Fans found it really hilarious that despite having a mistaken team comp, Team SMG still trashed Evil Geniuses GC!

In the next map, Team SMG used a normal agent composition and won against Evil Geniuses GC. The second map was a close match, but Team SMG came out on top and won the game with a score of 13-7. This opening day matches of the VCT Game Changers Championship 2023 was definitely engaging and fun to watch! And every team gave their best!
