Fortnite has obviously been trying to do something different in the game, and while they always haven’t been met with the desired outcome, the next season appears very promising for the community. Well for one, the final event Fracture is going to be the last event for Chapter 3, meaning that the developers might entirely choose to skin Season 5 and directly jump into Chapter 4 Season 1 and bring out the new goods and cosmetics within the game.

Already though, leaks and rumors about Chapter 4 Season 1 have started floating and the developers are in a hurry to find out the final few bits and glitches. Since fracture is set to end on December 4th, the new Season might come just after that, meaning that there will also be a substantial amount of server downtime in the game. Fortnite has also teased the new starter pack for the next season, calling it the Metallica Mina collection.

This new collection draws a lot of similarities with the Blue Phoenix collection, and is set to feature a ‘Mina Park‘ Outfit, ‘Spikeheart‘ Back Bling, and ‘The Ruthless Claw‘ Pickaxe.

Although the exact release date is yet to be confirmed by the developers, the update is most probably scheduled to drop on December 4th. However, if the game does choose to proceed with Season 5, then the update might be pushed to January 2023.

Fortnite’s enigmatic crime boss was an integral part of the game lore for the majority of Chapter 2, and is therefore set for a return in the final event of the year Chapter 3 Fracture as an NPC in-game. Midas was the Mythic boss in The Agency and the deadly mastermind responsible for the Doomsday Device of creating a storm and controlling it as well as the live event of the previous season.

However, with the introduction of a more powerful villain in the Herald, Midas might take up the mantle of the Anti-Hero. A fan theory suggests that this was Midas’ plan all along, and he is set to make a heroic return to defeat the Herald. Since he can literally turn characters into gold, his return has been teased by the returning gold and silver sprays in the store. It will be interesting to find out how the fans react to the character once he is released in the game.
