xQc beats Forsen’s Minecraft speedrun record, sets new record at 16.38

Twitch streamer xQc broke the Minecraft speed run record that was previously held by Forsen. xQc set the new record with an astonishing time of 16 minutes and 38 seconds beating the previous record by almost 2 minutes.

Minecraft is a sandbox game developed and published by Mojang Studios that has no end goal or ending. However its is considered that after beating the Ender Dragon, the game has been beaten. This was first popularized by Dream and GeorgeNotFound, with many Twitch streamers trying to set a record time to finish the sand box game Minecraft. Although any tried and gave up, two streamer xQc and Forsen were on top with record times for finishing the game. The two had a friendly rivalry between them that started out in 2020.

Although speed running through Minecraft requires immense amount of skill, it also slightly depends on luck. Having a good seed for the map is very important for a speed run as a good seed can let you mine materials really fast. After mining materials, players mush also locate the gate that leads them to the Ender dragon and collect eyes of the ender man to activate the said gate. Even after opening the gate, defeating the ender dragon is one of the toughest parts in Minecraft.

xQc beats Forsen’s Minecraft record

xQc recently posted a meme collage to his Twitter account while tagging Forsen and announced that he had set the new Minecraft speed run world record. The 27 year old streamer had beat the previous time by almost 2 minutes and written “Its Joever. Don’t even bother trying” while tagging Forsen, the previous record holder. Following the tweet, Forsen had commented, “What the f*ck? That’s lucky as f*ck.”

xQc and Forsen had a friendly rivalry between them going on since 2020. The rivalry was to see who could have the faster time to beat Minecraft. Forsen held the world record from April 2021 to January 2023 with his time of 20 minutes and 38 seconds. However that changed when xQc beat the record by almost half a minute with a time of 20 minutes and 5 seconds in January. Forsen was quick to clap back and broke the record yet again in March with a time of 18 minutes and 10 seconds, almost 2 minutes quicker than xQc. Finally xQc has beaten Forsen with his record time of 16 minutes and 38 seconds giving him a firm lead in the rivalry.
