Even though Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel is not a stranger on getting banned from Twitch, his fans would certainly be disappointed if the streamer is banned with no fault of his own. Well, an account suspension might be making its way for one of the most watched streamers due to YouTube’s algorithm.
The 27-year-old streamer often checks out some YouTube videos with his audience when yesterday, he decided to check a couple of highlights of FIFA World Cup 2022 that is currently taking place in Qatar. After opening a video, he was away from his computer for sometime, when suddenly his screen went blank.
His chat started spamming DMCA ban, the livestream started again where YouTube’s algorithm started playing a football match of Germany vs Brazil that took place in 2014. The YouTube auto-play continued as his audience got treated to the highlights of the England vs Iran match where the former team thrashed down the latter with a 6-2 victory.
As the ‘England vs Iran’ match took place recently, xQc’s account might be suspended for a few hours or even days as he accidentally violated the streaming guidelines on Twitch and streamed copyrighted content that might hand him over a DMCA ban. Although, as of now, the streamer seems to be safe from the eyes of the concerned authorities.

xQc has previously dipped his toes on Twitch DMCA ban
DMCA strikes on Twitch streamers are not an uncommon thing as we have seen high profile streamers such as Pokimane, Disguised Toast getting suspended for a couple of days after streaming copyrighted content. Even xQc has tasted the waters of a copyright strike when he was watching the Olympics in July 2021.
Following the ban, the streamer even tweeted his disappointment over the suspension, claiming that he had been extremely careful to follow the Twitch guidelines. As the current livestream ‘fail’ took place when the streamer was away from his PC, it is evident that he will be dismayed again.
The streamer’s account ban seems to be on the threshold as the DMCA guidelines on Twitch state that, “You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights to live stream or store copyrighted material on Twitch.” If a DMCA complaint is filed, Twitch is required to immediately remove the offending content.”
xQc didn’t have the rights to livestream FIFA World Cup 2022 content on his channel, as a consequence, it can be assumed that account ban is imminent. Although fans don’t have to worry as it will be a temporary ban only.

As it happened, the stream was widely circulated across different platforms and ‘r/livestreamfails’ remains one of them. Several fans found it hilarious that Forsen would be laughing at this stream, as he is known for reacting to his content on a regular basis.
Streamers such as Disguised Toast have been able to avoid a copyright strike on Twitch or a DMCA ban as he recently announced his partnership with Crunchyroll to stream anime on his livestream.
