Yes, Minecraft Legends will feature an open-world design in both its traditional strategy mode and PvP sections, according to Mojang. The game’s world is described as a “vivid open world filled with treasures and perils.” This will allow players to explore freely and collect resources and allies while riding their horse.
Minecraft Legends open world will be smaller compared to its predecessors to focus more on real-time strategy elements. Minecraft Legends will feature a smaller, arena-like structure where players can fight Piglin bases and defend the towns within the world.
Each new save file will generate a completely unique, procedurally made world. It will comprise various treasures to discover, including chests, outposts, towers, and mob homesteads. Overall, Minecraft Legends promises to provide a unique open-world experience within its action-strategy gameplay style.

In a recent video by popular Minecraft content creator Grain confirmed that Minecraft Legends offers both co-op and PvP multiplayer modes. In co-op, players can team up with friends to fight against the Piglin invasions. Meanwhile, PvP mode allows two teams of up to four players to engage in base warfare. They need to gather resources, level up their tools, and destroy their opponent’s Wellspring.
As for crossplay, Mojang will offer its player base the opportunity for cross-platform multiplayer battles. Mojang is likely to push for crossplay support at launch, making it accessible to players across multiple platforms.
A shift from the traditional Minecraft gameplay sounds like an exciting prospect. As the release date nears on April 18, players can pre-register themselves for the game on the official website.
