England, having already qualified for the knockouts of Euro 2020, finished as the leaders of Group D after winning 1-0 against Czech Republic at Wembley, thus completing the group stages unbeaten and without conceding a single goal. Raheem Sterling scored the only goal of the match in the 12th minute when he headed home a Jack Grealish cross at the far post, with Czech Republic unable to find an answer. With this result, England have topped group D and will face the runners up of group F , while Czech Republic will have to wait untill tomorrow to qualify as one of the better third placed teams.

Great covering and marking partnering Maguire, looked solid. Proved to be a threat in set pieces.

Little rusty after returning from injury. Drive forward and good in possession. An excellent ball to Kane for a scoring opportunity in the first half.

Got forward a lot and a tireless performance that caused real problems.
Declan Rice – 7/10
Played in a deep role, sometimes alongside the back two. Looked good and had good interceptions but lost his markings sometimes. Replaced by Henderson at HT.

Good in the build up for England and was switched to a deeper role after Rice was taken off.
Jack Grealish – 8/10
Given a free role and glided on the pitch with ease. Caused much trouble for the Czech defenders making runs behind the defense and opened up avenues. Provided an excellent cross to the back post from which Sterling put England in lead.
Bukayo Saka – 8/10
Looked lively throughout. Caused from with his runs and quick bursts into space and also made some good crosses into the box. Positive display and hand a hand in England’s opener.
Harry Kane – 6/10
Good hold up play and passing to switch flanks in attack. Had two good chances to score with shots on target, but Vaclik saved them. Had a better game after two lackluster performances.
Raheem Sterling – 7.5/10
Came agonisingly close to scoring in the second minute with beautiful lob over Vaclik which came just off the bar. Headed home from a Grealish cross to score the only goal of the match.

Good saves to deny Kane. Was alert in goal but had little to do about the concession.
Vladimir Coufal – 7/10
Had to deal with Sterling and Grealish but offered very little space to them. Made six clearances but couldn’t stop Grealish from putting the ball into the box that resulted in the goal.

Defended well and cleared some aerial threats.

Couldn’t stop Kane from taking a good shot which was saved by Vaclik. Poor decision making and caught off guard at times.

Couldn’t get ahead of Sterling in time to stop the Englishman from heading the ball in at the back post and troubled by Saka throughout the game.

Good battle with West Ham partner Rice in the midfield. Tried supplying the forward lines and saw his shot blocked by the England defenders before another curled just wide.

Given to mark Grealish but with little success. Had a good effort of the England goal with a power strike that was saved by Pickford.

Tried putting in a lot of effort with good balls from both flanks but with little result.
