Recent reports suggest that former NFL running back Eddie Lacy might be in trouble after a run in with the police. The Scottsdale Police Department have been reported to have arrested Lacy on Monday night. Allegedly, the former NFL player was driving under the influence.

Per reports via TMZ, the Scottsdale Police Department pulled Lacy over at around 10:40 p.m. Apparently the former Green Bay Packers running back committed several traffic violations, leading the officials to step in. Prior to Lacy’s arrest in Scottsdale, Arizona, he displayed signs of being intoxicated. Ultimately, he was arrested and booked on four separate DUI charges.

Not for long though, as Eddie Lacy was released a day later on Tuesday. Besides that, no additional information was revealed to the public. The outlet also reported that the former Packers player has been booked for “Extreme DUI — BAC .20 or more”. Reportedly, Lacy was also in possession of an open container in his vehicle.

Eddie Lacy made his NFL debut after being drafted as a second-round pick by the Packers in 2013. After four years with the team, he shook hands with the Seattle Seahawks in 2017. Following one season with the Seahawks, Lacy has remained out of the public eye. In his short and fast paced career, he played 60 games in his five seasons in the league.

Eddie Lacy’s weight loss journey prohibited alcohol

Eddie Lacy’s NFL career was filled with trolls over his weight. Due to that, the former Packers player went onto seeing through his offseason transformation back in 2016. Lacy’s trainer, Tony Horton revealed details about his epic transformation.

Horton, in a conversation with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, talked about the real problem of Lacy’s weight was the diet, which he changed. Along with that, another major factor was his alcohol cut in significant amounts. It happened when Horton informed the Packers player that excess alcohol consumption could lead to a decrease in testosterone levels.

Back then, Lacy got disciplined after learning the information and showcased his ‘hard work and willingness’ for something he deemed important.

To some extent, Lacy anticipated his separation from the Packers after being publicly criticized for his weight by coach Mike McCarthy. Following this, he improved his performance in the games he played after shedding the extra weight.
