As long as it takes, it’s Ferrari who made me dream when I was a child and who believed in me when I was young, I will do everything to make that happen as quickly as possible.

I think, first of all, Carlos deserves a top seat. I mean, he’s done a fantastic job. We haven’t taken the decision yet for next year, but we didn’t want to have Carlos wait as well. Because he needs to take the decisions for himself, and that’s just fair. But he’s doing a super job.
Toto Wolff said to SkySports

Toto Wolff has clarified Mercedes’ stance on the availability of a seat for Carlos Sainz and has been transparent in concluding that the Silver Arrows will not be keen on signing the talented Spaniard. However, the Austrian asserted that any team on the grid would be lucky to sign the three-time race winner, given the race craft and the skillset the Spaniard possesses.

Carlos Sainz suffered an unfortunate DNF at the Canadian GP, along with his teammate Charles Leclerc, who suffered the same fate. The 29-year-old will now try to bounce back in hopes of finding a place among the points and podiums in his upcoming home race in Barcelona.
