The F1 world has been in a frenzy for weeks due to the brewing title rivalry. On the other hand, F1 drivers are known for their obsession with pets, and Charles Leclerc recently adopted a young puppy in the form of Leo. Moreover, he recently claimed that he wanted to make Leo and his future Ferrari teammate, Lewis Hamilton‘s dog Roscoe, friends at the British GP weekend.

F1 drivers are known for having multiple pets. Reigning F1 champion, Max Verstappen has two Bengal cats named Jimmy and Sassy. Similarly, Carlos Sainz has two dogs. Following on a similar note, Charles Leclerc adopted Leo in April, and social media buzzed with the adorable Monegasque’s dog.

Subsequently, when Leclerc was questioned regarding Leo and Roscoe‘s relationship, he claimed that he wanted both dogs to form a friendship.

I wanted to text Lewis[Hamilton] to make them [Roscoe and Leo] meet. Because Lewis still very young, so he doesn't have yet so many dog friends. So I am going to improve his social life a little bit.
Charles Leclerc said in an interview with Sky Sports F1

The 26-year-old revealed he wanted to text Lewis Hamilton to allow Roscoe and Leo to form a friendship. He then further claimed that he would be looking to improve Leo’s social life a bit by forming friendships with other driver’s pets.

Lewis Hamilton does not trust people who are not animal lovers

While it’s evident that F1 drivers have a deep-rooted love for their pets. On the other hand, drivers have used their platform to spread the message regarding the importance of respect for animals, and the seven-time world champion has been leading from the front.

Hamilton explained why being with dogs makes him happy.

The great thing about dogs... I mean, I don't trust people that are not animal lovers, but they are always happy to see you when you come back. It's the best part of the day when you wake up and play with him, and then when you come back from work

The 39-year-old elaborated that after the end of the day when he is tired, his dog lightens his entire mood up. He then reasoned this and claimed that he does not trust any person who does not love animals.

Thus, fans would be expecting a meetup between Leo and Roscoe soon. Both Hamilton and Leclerc will be partnering up in Ferrari next year, so if a friendship forms between the two dogs, then the fans will be buzzing with the exciting dynamic relationship between the scarlet duo.
