Former Scottish F1 driver David Coulthard has made his predictions ahead of the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix. Coulthard has predicted Red Bull’s Max Verstappen to perform at his full potential in front of his home crowd at Zandvoort.
Max Verstappen leads the championship yet again, eyeing a fourth consecutive title this season. He has, however, been outpaced by the likes of McLaren and Mercedes and is currently winless since the Spanish Grand Prix.

David Coulthard has since claimed that the best upgrades within the top teams will likely take away the win at Zandvoort. Coulthard has said that Verstappen will be challenged greatly by his rivals despite having the support of his home crowd.
I don't because I think such is the pace of development that it will be whoever comes with the latest upgrade that really suits that track. It is a track where you need absolute commitment from the driver, where like Monaco, can bring you right into play. There's one thing that we know which is Max is always full attack, but his competitors are tough, you've got seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton back winning grands prix.David Coulthard told RacingNews365
The three-time world champion has been victorious at the Dutch Grand Prix for the past three years. He will look to extend his tally in the same manner as he’ll be delivering thundering laps around the orange-ridden crowd again during the upcoming race weekend.
Toto Wolff gives his take on Mercedes’ progress ahead of Dutch GP
While Verstappen has been tipped to be in full ‘attack mode’ in Zandvoort, the Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has also shared his thoughts ahead of the exciting event. The Silver Arrows have won three of the last four races, showcasing sheer pace and prowess.

We are ready to get back racing this weekend in Zandvoort. Ahead of the summer break, we built momentum with an improved car and stronger results. We will look to continue that progress into the final 10 races of the season.Toto Wolff spoke ahead of the Dutch GP

Toto Wolff has claimed that his team developed a strong version of the W15 before the summer break. Wolff thereafter demanded the same intensity and purpose from his team in order to maximize results during the last 10 races of the season.
Mercedes have amassed a staggering 178 points in the last seven races, which has brought them close to third (currently in possession of Ferrari) in the championship standings. The Dutch GP will be a fitting test for the Silver Arrows, who will look to win their fourth race of the campaign.
