Brad Pitt and Lewis Hamilton have come forth and produced a movie together named ‘F1’. The movie offers great depth into the pinnacle of motorsport and also shares stories of the team APX GP. Hence, the entire paddock is excitedly waiting for the $300 million budgeted film backed by Apple. Amidst this, George Russell declared his support for the great notion.
George Russell was full of praises for the high-budget film by Lewis Hamilton and Brad Pitt. The movie showcases the use of real life like Formula 1 challengers followed by realistic crashes. Hence, the movie would attempt to be as close to reality while also displaying what goes on behind the curtains of an F1 constructor.
As a result, Russell reckoned that the infamous actor Brad Pitt was doing more than what was necessary. This meant that the movie would be as close as possible to reality as Pitt tried to keep the movie authentic. Additionally, the American star even put in a lot of practice driving a high-speed challenger for the shooting of the film.
He's put a lot more practice than it was necessary because he really wanted to do a great job and make it as authentic as possible.George Russell said on the The Fast and the Curious podcast.
Toto Wolff labeled George Russell as ‘one of the best’ amidst Kimi Antonelli rumors
The vacancy at Mercedes due to Lewis Hamilton’s switch to Ferrari is yet to be filled up. Kimi Antonelli has risen up to be one of the major candidates to join Brackley in the coming season. However, the 17-year-old would need to be paired up with George Russell and Toto Wolff believes the former would learn a lot.

Toto Wolff reckoned that there were risks in acquiring Kimi Antonelli but that wasn’t due to the lack of skills of the prodigy. However, the 17-year-old being exposed to media as a Silver Arrow could be overwhelming for him. Additionally, pairing up with ‘one of the best’ on the grid (Russell) would be another factor to consider.
Of course, there are risks. These are not so much due to the talent of the driver, but to the fact that Antonelli would be exposed to the media and the skills of George Russell, one of the best drivers on the grid.Toto Wolff via Autosport Wereld
Regardless of the driver joining in the next season, Mercedes will have to focus on the current season. Brackley has started to massively improve in pace and provide tough competition to the rivals. Hence, it would be interesting how the remaining two seasons of the ground-effect era fare for the German carmaker.
