George Russell claims Mercedes has ‘moved forward’ is not too far behind Ferrari and McLaren

Mercedes F1 driver, George Russell has made observations about the W15, saying the challenger is not far behind in terms of performance compared to the cars of Ferrari and McLaren. The Brackley-based team has had a slow start to the 2024 season but has shown encouraging signs in the recent Imola and Miami events.
George Russell has shed light on the situation of Mercedes claiming that the W15 has improved its straight-line speed and is more balanced compared to last season. The German outfit has not yet scored a podium or a race win but is optimistic regarding their developments with the car.
The British driver has also said that Ferrari and McLaren have moved forward with their developments but has also, indicated that his team is not too far behind. Mercedes’s 2024 rivals have picked up the pace this season, as both have amassed one race win alongside multiple podiums.

As it stands, Red Bull still appears at the top of the charts, followed by McLaren and Ferrari who have tightened the gap in terms of pace. Mercedes now looks to improve and work on their upgrades as the race for the coveted 2024 title heats up.
Lewis Hamilton shares his thoughts on the performance of Lando Norris
Lewis Hamilton has given his verdict on the performance of fellow British driver, Lando Norris. The young Brit has been on stellar form this season charting his first-ever race win at Miami and is on the lookout to challenge Max Verstappen for the drivers championship.

Hamilton has sung in praise of McLaren saying that the team has managed to close the gap to Red Bull and has inspired others to do the same. The seven-time world champio also shed light on Mercedes’s hopes to be able to do the same and match the performance levels of Ferrari, McLaren, and Red Bull.
The upcoming Monaco Grand Prix will test the capabilities of the drivers and their teams around one of the most challenging tracks of the F1 calendar. Lando Norris will look to capitalize on his form and try to add a second race win to his tally after missing out in Imola by an extremely small margin of seven-tenths.
