Lando Norris silenced all the critics following his stellar 2025 championship title triumph. Norris performed well despite all odds and lifted the title trophy at the end of the season. Though the Briton faced some moments of uncertainity over the year, he reveals how Lewis Hamilton. Sebastian Vettel’s and many others’ advice helped him remain in championship contention.
Though Lando Norris was egged on by the crowds present at many of the races in the 2025 season, his co-workers had respect for him. Many present and former F1 drivers rooted for Norris and were happy to see him finally achieve success in the pinnacle of motorsport. Despite the Briton’s controversial comments against some of the drivers, like Lewis Hamilton, they weren’t much concerned with it.
Now, Lando Norris revealed the key aspect that helped him emerge victorious in his maiden championship campaign in the 2025 season. The Briton explained that he received some great words and text messages from some incredible people. This included people who had won championships not only in Formula 1, but other categories of sport.
Lando Norris specifically pointed out Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel, among many others, who always rooted for him to win. Even MotoGP champion Casey Stoner texted Norris occasionally to offer him some motivation and words of advice amid his challenging time in the 2025 season. The reigning champion explained that these texts arrived when he needed them the most and hence helped him keep striving for better.
I’ve had some great words and great text messages and conversations with some incredible people, people that have won World Championships in different sports, Lewis and others like Seb. A lot of people don’t know I speak to Seb about things, A lot of these people, [former MotoGP champion Casey] Stoner, who, when I needed it most, sent me that little text message and said ‘think of this, believe in yourself, do this, do that’, and just help me along.

Lando Norris reveals how he clinched the title trophy by two points
Despite Lando Norris’ improving performances, Max Verstappen was in a league of his own and achieved a terrific comeback in performance in the final stages of the 2025 season. The Dutchman achieved nine consecutive podium finishes in the last races, five out of which were race wins. As such, Norris won the title by just two points following Verstappen’s victory at the Abu Dhabi GP.
Lando Norris highlighted that in such a close title fight, having the faith of everyone around him helped him eke out two points in his championship campaign. Hence, Norris felt obliged to thank the motivators who always offered him help when he needed it during his title battle in the 2025 season.
When you win the championship by two points, I would certainly say having these moments of faith from others around me got me those two points. And therefore, that’s why I’ve got to thank everyone around me because two points is also what you need.

The 2025 season put forth an extremely close battle between the drivers at the forefront. The battle could have been won by any one of the three drivers at the forefront. The coming season will introduce new regulations and could be a massive challenge for McLaren and Red Bull. However, anything can happen as none of the teams seems to be the clear favorite for now.
