Lando Norris and Max Verstappen have been at it during the better part of the 2024 F1 season. The latest flashpoint in their brutal on-track rivalry came at the Mexican GP where Verstappen was even handed a 20-second penalty.
Following Lando Norris and Max Verstappen‘s latest tussle, the former has asserted that he has always kept things fair from his end. Norris genuinely feels Verstappen is to blame for most of their on-track incidents.
Looking at the reaction of the McLaren driver, he has killed two birds with one stone. First, he has stayed away from taking any blame for his and Verstappen’s tussle and second, he has pretty much put the blame on the reigning world champion. The duo is currently engaged in a fight for the coveted driver’s championship.
Lando Norris applauds Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz
While Lando Norris feels he has been fair against Max Verstappen, he has also taken the time to share his thoughts on the 2024 constructors’ championship. In light of this, he has applauded Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.
The Maranello-based team is currently 29 points behind McLaren in the standings.
Until a few races ago, the fight for the constructors’ championship was a three-way brawl between McLaren, Ferrari, and Red Bull. However, the Milton-Keynes-based team has pretty much fallen out of contention for various reasons.
This week’s event at the Interlagos racing circuit is the 21st round of the ongoing campaign. After this, there are only three rounds remaining, and considering this, the fight for the constructors’ is bound to go down to the wire between McLaren and Ferrari.
