The 2024 Singapore GP is going to be remembered for varied reasons. From Lando Norris‘s dominant win to all the 20 drivers having a hard time behind the wheel of their cars, the event was exciting yet a huge physical challenge for the drivers.
The Mercedes boys did not even attend the post-race press conference and the team’s health update on them has not sat well with the winner Lando Norris. Shortly after the 62-lap event, Mercedes made an official announcement regarding Lewis Hamilton and George Russell‘s unavailability for their press conference duties.
During a recent online sim-racing session, Norris came across the official Mercedes statement and he was not at all pleased by it.
Toto Wolff issues health update on Hamilton and Russell? Fuc***g hell, it’s tough for everyone. why do they think that they’ve...everyone’s got heatstroke if they’ve got heatstroke!Lando Norris via an online sim-racing session

Norris has made his displeasure with Mercedes’s antics quite clear. He thinks that every driver had a tough time during the grueling 62-lap race and thus, the duo should not have been given any special treatment just like the other 18 drivers.
Lando Norris a ‘happy’ chap following sensational Singapore antics
Lando Norris has been on an extremely strong run of form this year. Since his triumph in Miami, he has not looked back and has kept on wracking up good results. His Singapore outing was yet another memorable event for him.
The 24-year-old won the race by a huge margin of over 20 seconds against his championship rival Max Verstappen.
Another win! I’m so happy with today, it was an amazing performance from the team. The car was mega so I could push. We were fast throughout the whole race, and at the end, I could focus to see it out. It was still a very tough race with a few too many close calls.Lando Norris via McLarenF1
The McLaren F1 team is currently leading the Constructors’ Championship by a margin of 41 points over Red Bull. In the driver’s tussle, Norris has still got to make up 52 points to draw level with Verstappen.
Andrea Stella and Co. have a few small updates in the pipeline for the MCL38 and considering this, the remaining six races of the 2024 season will be must-see events. Norris and Verstappen’s battle could very well go to the last race in Abu Dhabi.
