Lewis Hamilton, ‘the man, the myth, the legend!’ The Brit has been putting in the work since the 2007 season of the pinnacle of motor racing. Over the years he has wracked up several accolades, and after his recent 200th podium in the sport, he has taken the time to reflect on his epic journey.
The seven-time world champion’s first title triumph came with McLaren and the other six, after that, have all come with the Toto Wolff-led Mercedes F1 team. The Brit feels extremely grateful to all the people who have played a part in his journey so far.
Last week during his 200th podium celebration in F1, Hamilton shared the stage with the McLaren duo of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.
There are so many people in the background whose shoulders I'm standing on. And so when I think of all those, the journey I've been on with all the different people, just really really grateful. The 39-year-old further went on to add the following.
Pushing, fighting, giving up time in their lives, and putting their minds to work, to create a machine which I could get in and deliver what I was born to deliver. So yeah, pretty epic to be honest.Lewis Hamilton via the same interview

Hamilton has so far competed in 345 Grand Prix and is set to add quite a few more courtesy of his multi-year Ferrari contract. Mercedes’ W15 has recently started working very well and there is a good chance that the Brit could amass a few more victories on top of his Silverstone win during the ongoing campaign.
Lewis Hamilton feels Mercedes has built itself back to ‘fighting for wins’ again in F1
While Hamilton has poured his heart out talking about his incredible journey to 200 podiums in F1, he is eagerly looking forward to the remainder of 2024. The seven-time world champion is immensely proud of the work the personnel at Mercedes have done with the W15.
The Brackley-based outfit amassed back-to-back victories in Austria and at the Silverstone racing circuit.
It has been amazing. We have gone through this difficult phase and have now built back up to be fighting for wins. We have come out with our heads held high. It is a great feeling, and I am proud of the work we are both doing with the team. I am really excited for the next few months.Lewis Hamilton via MercedesAMGF1
Mercedes is currently in fourth place in the 2024 Constructors Championship. The outfit has so far amassed 241 and is quite a way back from Ferrari in third. Charles Leclerc and Co. are sitting on 322 points and considering this, the ongoing Belgian GP weekend is extremely important for Toto Wolff’s team. Mercedes will ideally want to go into the summer break on the back of a double podium finish.
