The biggest news of the 2024 season came even before the opening round in Bahrain. Lewis Hamilton announced that he would be parting ways with Mercedes after the end of his 2024 campaign and jump ship to Ferrari. This move was understood to increase the Italian team’s marketability, but, in a stark turn of events, Hamilton might end up sponsoring his drive at the team in 2025.
Lewis Hamilton is statistically the greatest driver that has ever graced F1. Moreover, his stance on global issues makes him a highly-followed celebrity worldwide. The Ferrari-HP partnership deal was reportedly the biggest one ever recorded in the history of F1, and that could be because of the Brit soon joining Maranello which would increase the tech giant’s exposure on the big screen.
Similarly, a myriad of sponsors lined up at Ferrari‘s HQ in Maranello, and Almave is understood to be one of them.
Almave is a brand that makes non-alcoholic tequila, and Hamilton is a co-founder of the startup. The reports suggest that the Mexican brand is close to finalizing a deal with the infamous prancing horses and its logos would be sported around the car next year, in support of the seven-time champion’s arrival in Maranello.
Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc eager to join forces at Ferrari
With Hamilton joining Ferrari in the next few months, experts have raised queries regarding how the Italian squad would manage the intra-team dynamics. While Charles Leclerc wants to win his maiden championship, the Brit has been eluding for his record-breaking eighth title.
Despite the concerns, the Monegasque revealed how the relationship between the two has grown warmer.
The 26-year-old stated that he and Hamilton have often chatted about their common interests in their private conversations. However, the 39-year-old remains focused on completing his tenure with Mercedes and then talking about the racing aspect with Leclerc, as he is known for his loyalty towards the German marque and would not break the ethical boundary that he had earlier set.
On the other hand, Ferrari is getting ready for the final few rounds. The Italian squad is eager to leapfrog Red Bull in the constructor’s standings and worsen the Austrian giant’s woes.
