Lewis Hamilton seemed at home during the latter half of the British GP. As the seven-time world champion controlled the pace from the race lead. George Russell could’ve been in the mix as well if he was not forced to retire the car. Max Verstappen was making gains on Hamilton, however, one must note that the Dutchman was on better tires.
The Silver Arrows are expected to bring further upgrades in the coming weeks. This would boost the team’s prospects further. Lewis Hamilton’s victory has rejuvenized the team completely and the entire Brackley crew would be ready to push to the limit in the 39-year-old’s final season with the team.
Certainly, Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes have found themselves in the best position in title contention in the past three seasons. However, it is still an uphill task as the seven-time world champion is far behind Verstappen in the standings. Nevertheless, fans are thrilled to see the Silver Arrows fight for race wins in F1 once again.
