Lando Norris, the McLaren F1 driver, has been competing in the sport since 2019. He amassed his first Grand Prix win in the sport at this year’s Miami GP, and since then, he has taken his skills up a notch and proved to be a completely transformed driver.

The 24-year-old will start today’s Austrian GP Sprint race in second place. While Lando Norris is gearing up for it, his team principal, Andrea Stella has recently put him alongside the lights of esteemed world champions like Michael Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen, and the ever-present Fernando Alonso.

Stella genuinely feels Norris has all the characteristics of the above-mentioned drivers.

Norris is still an extremely young driver. At the age of 24, he has several years ahead of him and the way McLaren has been progressing, he could be seen lifting the world championship this year. As things stand, he is 69 points adrift of Max Verstappen who is leading the 2024 drivers’ championship.

While Stella has left no stone unturned in showering praise on Norris, the latter was once again on it during yesterday’s sprint qualifying. After amassing second place in the sprint race, he made it known that he’ll push to the maximum during the whole Austrian GP weekend.

Norris missed out on pole by an extremely small margin.

Overall, a good Sprint quali today, P2 is pretty strong. It was close but it has been all year. Possibly not my tidiest Qualifying session, but I managed to pull it out at the end and produce a nice lap. P2 for tomorrow’s Sprint is a positive start to the weekend, we’ll keep pushing on from here.
Lando Norris said in post Sprint qaulifying interview

The Brit has made his intentions known ahead of the exciting Austrian GP Sprint race. Points are going to be on offer and Norris will try his utmost to amass the maximum. However, it will not be easy to get the better of the reigning world champion, Max Verstappen. The Dutchman has already triumphed in seven races out of the 10 that have taken place this year.
