Zero visibility was the reason for Dilano Van ‘T Hoff’s crash

With weather conditions looking like Spa’s F1 iteration in 2021, race officials didn’t seem to bother stopping the race. This in turn led to further unfortunate events. During the drama, Dilano Van ‘T Hoff seemed to lose control of his car and then got hit by a rival coming at high speeds. This incident was unavoidable by the rival driver as there was zero visibility and Dilano was parked in the middle of the straight.

FRECA and the Automobile Club d’Italia that sanctions the series, the circuit at Spa, and the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium and Stephane Ratel Organisation, Formula 1 and all the teams in the sport have jointly expressed their condolences to Dilano Van ‘T Hoff’s family and friends following his tragic death. It still shows how brutal motorsport can be and the risks that young drivers such as Dilano took to pursue their dreams.
