While enjoying his “calming” summer break in Africa, Lewis Hamilton did not forget to update his fans on how his tour was going. The 37-year-old posted pictures of him in Rwanda and shared his thoughts on the scenic beauty of the place. He visited the natural habitat of the gorillas and also hiked up a volcano with his travel partners. He talked about his time on the hot-air balloon, which he enjoyed a lot as well.

Speaking of his journey in Africa, Lewis Hamilton wrote on his Instagram story, “Every day in the motherland is more beautiful than the last. My second stop was Rwanda, where we hiked up a volcano to see gorillas in their natural habitat. It was mind blowing.”

They were so calm and beautiful, getting that close to them was a surreal experience that I will never forget. Thank you to the amazing conservationists that took care of us and are doing amazing work to ensure the safety of these beautiful creatures and thank you, Rwanda.”

Only a few weeks from now, Hamilton will join his Mercedes teammate George Russell for the Belgian Grand Prix. Now, it remains to be seen if Mercedes can carry on their streak of brilliant performances by fetching themselves yet another double podium, or if the Stuttgart-based team falters in the face of Ferrari and Red Bull.
