“Bienvenidos a México”: F1 Twitter reacts to McLaren’s grand welcome to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for the upcoming Mexican GP

As the current Formula One 2023 season is nearing its end with only two races left in the roster, the stage is all-set for Red Bull driver Sergio Perez’s home race at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. And since the Mexican Grand Prix is just around the corner, the F1 paddocks have already started arriving in the country. And the McLaren crew got a grand welcome while making their way to the hotel as soon as they set foot in Mexico.

On Tuesday, the admins of the official McLaren account on Twitter posted a video of the warm way they were greeted by their Mexican team members and fans commented on it with their wholesome reactions. Some of the fans even pointed out that their “Mexican welcome” would have been even more special if they recruited Pato O’Ward to join them in Daniel Ricciardo‘s place next year.

McLaren is yet to surpass Alpine in the points table for the Constructors’ Championship this year as they are six points short of claiming P4 again. While a huge responsibility rests over the shoulders of the Papaya team to perform well and end their year on a high, the fans showered praise on the way they were greeted at their hotel in Mexico.

In other news, McLaren’s Lando Norris claimed that he can achieve same or even better results if he were given a car as powerful as Max Verstappen’s. The British team could not impress their fans with the MCL36 this year, but it is expected that they will come up with better performances in 2023 with Oscar Piastri joining the team to drive beside Lando Norris.
