Boring Championship fights are getting too tedious, might leave F1: Max Verstappen
Max Verstappen has revealed his future plans in Formula 1--and he surprisingly did not sound too pumped up about winning the Championship titles.

With two World Championships already in his possession, Red Bull racer Max Verstappen looks well on his way towards scoring yet another F1 title win because of his growing points difference from Sergio Perez. Earlier in this season, while walking into the Miami GP, Max was only narrowly ahead of his teammate and biggest rival for this year’s trophy win, but now, the gap has expanded a lot. As a whopping 53-point-difference separates Checo from Max, it is almost established that the Dutch lion will get his Championship hattrick in F1 at the end of 2023.
Winning has become a habit for Max Verstappen, with five victories out of seven Grands Prix that have been held till now in 2023. Yet, the golden boy of Red Bull does not feel the need to keep going at it for years to come just for the rush that comes with a Grand Prix victory. Verstappen believes there will come a time when he will happily exit Formula 1 is search of other endeavours because he has no interest in following Lewis Hamilton‘s path and keep logging hours at 38 in a sport where most drivers, like Sebastian Vettel, retire by their mid-30s.
At only twenty five years of age, Max Verstappen believes he has seen all the ups that a career in Formula 1 could bring him with two Championship wins and a third one almost sure to come. He was asked about how he would feel when he hangs up his boots and walks away from the thrill of an F1 race win. Max Verstappen commented, “Now that I’ve won a championship it’s nice to win another one and another one but basically it’s the same thing so it is not something that will keep me here forever.“
Max Verstappen’s statement on not continuing in Formula 1 directly contradicts Lewis Hamilton’s philosophy

Lewis Hamilton has reigned over Formula 1 for a very long time, and the sport has gifted him with brilliant records and sky-high prestige that only a few athletes in the world can ever earn. At 38, he shows no signs of slowing as Lewis still wants to keep going at making the attempt to win his eighth record-breaking F1 World Championship. But Max Verstappen has absolutely opposite beliefs as he thinks he would never stay in Formula One for long, and would take a break when the time is right.
No matter Lewis Hamilton’s ambitions or Max Verstappen’s ideas about leaving Formula 1, the current situation shows both the racers are improving with each race. Lewis’ start to the 2023 season was below expectations, but after a second-place finish at the recently-held Spanish GP, the Briton has regained his confidence. Soon, the two might be pitted against each other once more as there seems to be every chance that Lewis will catch up to Max in the upcoming races, giving fans a journey back in time to their 2021 duel.
