Carlos Sainz, the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix winner, has been replaced by Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari from 2025 onwards. Sainz will be entering his final campaign with the Italian team this year and while the season is approaching at a rate of knots, he has admitted that the upcoming 3-4 years will be the most important in his F1 career.
Carlos Sainz is considered by many pundits as one of the most established drivers in the sport. He is as quick as anyone behind the wheel of an F1 beast and is easily among the top drivers in the sport.
However, Lewis Hamilton‘s 2025 arrival at Ferrari has forced Sainz to look at his options from next year onwards. While talking about the same with Formu1a.uno, he recently said:
I have the most important 3-4 years of my career ahead of me. I want to make sure I am in the right place at the right time. So I will take the time to think about it and look at all the options.

The Spaniard with his comments has made it known that for 2025, he is going to take his sweet time to look at his options and then make a decision regarding a team. He ideally would want to secure a seat at the one of the top three teams other that current exployer, Ferrari.
Carlos Sainz will target 2024 to prove his might to potential teams
While Carlos Sainz won’t be seen dawning the red of Ferrari from next year onward, all is not lost for him as the 2024 season is just around the corner. Moreover, given the number of seats that will be availbale on the grid for next year, Sainz can use the upcoming campaign as a stage to attract top teams.
The 29-year-old was the only non-Red Bull driver to score a Grand Prix win last year and if he is able to perform at an extreely high level again, it will open exciting doors for him for 2025. As things stand, top teams like Mercedes and Red Bull have at least one seat open for next year.
