Carlos Sainz has been dealt an extremely heavy blow ahead of the 2024 F1 season. Lewis Hamilton has taken his place at Ferrari from next year onward and thus, he will be seen racing for his career during the upcoming campaign.
While Carlos Sainz is disappointed with how things have panned out for him in the last two weeks, he is doing his best to get over it. Sainz has made it known that the 2024 F1 season is going to be an extremely important campaign in his racing career.
While shedding light on the same in a recent interview with AS, he said, as reported by Soymotor:
I'm fine, it's true that it's been a very intense two weeks for everyone at home, in Maranello, but I'm focusing on preparing for this season, which is very important for Ferrari. This year, as in the previous nine, is the most important year of my career. I approach each year like this and more at Ferrari.
The 29-year-old has made it quite clear that he is going to approach the upcoming campaign with the same intensity with which, he has approached the previous nine in his career. Despite losing his Ferrari seat, Sainz is determined to put his best foot forward during the 2024 season of the pinnacle of motor racing.
Carlos Sainz can look at 2024 as his chance to show his worth to the top F1 teams
While Carlos Sainz will no longer be seen dawning the iconic red of Ferrari after the 2024 F1 season, he can use his last opportunity as a Ferrari driver to put top teams like Mercedes and Red Bull on notice. If Sainz performs well, he will garner much attention from the lights of Toto Wolff and Christian Horner.
One has to keep in mind that the 29-year-old was the only non-Red Bull driver in 2023 to secure a Grand Prix win. He pulled out a sensational outing at the Singapore Grand Prix that proved enough to keep Max Verstappen and Co. at bay.
