At the start of February, the news of Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari in 2025 came to light. The Spanish driver, Carlos Sainz, had to go through a tough phase even before the season started. He currently has no contract for next season.

However, there have been speculations. With Lewis Hamilton moving to Ferrari there is a possibility of Carlos Sainz taking his place at Mercedes. It is not the crossover many would’ve expected but there are still other possibilities as several teams do not have a fixed driver lineup for the next season.

One such team is Red Bull which has its eyes set on the smooth operator after his recent triumph at the Australian GP. Red Bull’s team principal, Christian Horner has hinted at the possibility of Red Bull having a place for the Spaniard.

We want to field the best pairing that we can, and sometimes you’ve got to look outside the pool. You’ve had a very fast unemployed driver [Sainz] win today’s race, so the market is reasonably fluid.
Christian Horner said in an interview with formu1a.uno

The Red Bull driver, Sergio Perez‘s current deal will come to a close at the end of this season. The team has given the Mexican driver till summer break to prove his place. Nothing is set for sure. Fans are excited about the possibility of Sainz as Max Verstappen and the former were teammates during their Toro Rosso (VCARB) days.

With some luck on his side and pure talent and hard work, the Spaniard was able to execute a brilliant drive during the 58-lap Australian GP.

Life sometimes is crazy, what happened at the beginning of the year, then the podium in Bahrain, then the appendix, the comeback, the win... it’s a rollercoaster but I loved it and I’m extremely happy.
Carlos Sainz said in an interview with F1

Carlos Sainz has always been good at strategizing and one such example was seen during the 2023 Singapore GP. The Australian GP podium celebrations created another CarLando moment that fans cannot stop gushing over. The 29-year-old’s potential is undeniable and soon or later, the various F1 teams will be lining up in front of him.
