Max Verstappen has been a promising figure in Formula 1 since his entry into the sport in 2015, asserting himself as one of the best drivers on the current grid. The Dutchman has since proven himself with a hatrick of championships, winning 44 races overall in his past three title campaigns.
However, Verstappen has spoken a lot recently contemplating an early retirement from the pinnacle of motorsport. Verstappen has ambitious plans outside of the sport, and Red Bull team principal Christian Horner claims that Verstappen may not be driving until the age of 42 like Fernando Alonso has managed to do.

I think he’s very strong in his own mind. I don’t think he’ll be driving when he’s 42 in F1. But that’s 18 years away or 16 years away from where he is now. So I think he’s going to take things one season at a time.Christian Horner said, as reported by racefans.net
Fernando Alonso himself has taken retirement as an option after recent changes in the F1 calendar but does not plan to leave F1 any time soon. Currently the oldest driver on the grid, Alonso also holds the record for most starts in F1.
MotoGP champion Marc Marquez commends Max Verstappen ‘killer’ attitude
Max Verstappen’s performance in Formula One has drawn the attention of a lot of the biggest names in motorsport. The Dutchman has received praise from many significant figures across different racing series, the latest of which is Marc Marquez.

Marquez is one of the most successful MotoGP riders of all time, with six titles in the premier class of the motorcycle racing series. The Spaniard appreciated the ruthless quality of Verstappen and the importance of winning to the Dutch racing driver.
What does that mean? That you don’t care about anything except the only sacred goal: winning. To win, to be successful, or to be a hero, you also have to be a ‘killer.
Verstappen plans to surpass even his current level of dominance in F1, as Red Bull plans to improve their 2024 challenger to be even faster than their 2023 RB19. The Dutchman himself will also be attempting a clean sweep to try and win every race, a feat never accomplished before.
