The Dutchman Max Verstappen has scored one of the most dominant season ever in the history of Formula 1. He singlehandedly won 19 out of the 22 races in the season and set a new standard for the generations to come. Christian Horner has also applauded Verstappen over this phenomenal performance.

The British boss Christian Horner has lauded the reigning world champion with compliments over the season. He recalled the only damage that Verstappen caused to the car was when he clipped the front wing at Silverstone. Horner coined this performance as ‘phenomenal’ and further complimented him regarding the heights he reached and his consistence while racing.

He just continues to hit new levels, I think the only damage that he did this year was driving out of the garage in Silverstone and clipping the front wing. It’s just phenomenal, the heights that he’s hit, the consistency.

Adding to the list of compliments, Horner exclaimed that even with adversity, Verstappen overcame the challenges he faced during qualifying sessions and continued to raise the bar for other drivers. Max has always been leading from behind the wheel and works well with the team and his engineering team during the race according to the boss.

The Dutchman was not hesitant in playing the team game with Red Bull. He claimed that he won a lot as a team since the team gathered 21 victories out of the 22 races in the season. Verstappen also added that the entire season was very enjoyable from a winning point of view as well as working with each other in the team to keep upgrading performances.

The 26-year-old also opened up about the pressures of keeping the winning momentum after winning a few races in a row. He claimed that the pressure was always on him. But he did not hesitate in claiming that he could keep on racing every single race weekend and enjoy at the same time since these great moments don’t come along too often according to him.

The Dutchman definitely scored a very impressive season this time around and etched his name in the record books for forever. Verstappen deserves all the praises and rightly so as even Horner praised him so much.
