There has only been one news headline that has been running through the minds of all the F1 fans for the past few weeks. While the start to the 2024 season is just round the corner, the preparations by all the teams are underway but the people’s attention has been only on one thing–the imminent announcement by Red Bull regarding the inappropriate conduct allegations against their Team Principal Christian Horner.

Ever since 2005, Horner has held the position of the Team Principal of Red Bull Racing, and in his tenure, he has seen immense success. The 50-year-old has given his team the glorious times when Sebastian Vettel single-handedly dominated the F1 racetracks between 2010 and 2013. And it is under his leadership that Red Bull rediscovered their success in 2021 when Max Verstappen challenged seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton for his debut Formula 1 title.

But all of Christian Horner’s records came crashing down at the end of the 2023 season when it was reported that a female Red Bull employee had complained against him for misconduct. Since then, there have been huge updates in the case as Red Bull placed their own Team Boss under investigation and he kept denying all charges.

It was also reported that Horner might have sent some obscene text messages to the female employee in question, which resulted in the investigation. And after weeks of debates over the ultimate outcome of the case, it is now reported by The Times that Horner will walk free as the external barrister employed to look over his case will exonerate him. This will come as a surprise to many since only a couple of days ago, it was reported that there were about a hundred pieces of evidence against him.

Max Verstappen only had a blunt response to give when asked about Red Bull’s investigation into Christian Horner

Current World Champion Max Verstappen is a Red Bull product through and through as he has been a part of the team ever since 2016. As he has already won 3 Formula One titles under the leadership of Christian Horner, it is no surprise that the relationship between the two of them is quite close. Yet, when Max was approached for a comment on the Red Bull investigation into the misconduct allegations against Christian Horner, he sounded quite dismissive.

I just focus on myself and driving the car, and hopefully it will be resolved very soon.
Max Verstappen said, as reported on X (H/T: @RBRDaily).

Max Verstappen is currently approaching a new Formula 1 season where he will be looking to win his fourth World Championship title. If he succeeds in achieving the feat this year, his title count will be equalled with that of Red Bull legend Sebastian Vettel who earned four back to back Championships between 2010 and 2013. Thus, it is no surprise that Max is not letting the allegations against his Team Boss distract him from performing a stellar job for Red Bull as his eyes are fixated on the win only.
