Rival teams want Red Bull to fail and fall on their face according to Christian Horner.

Christian Horner has been the team principal of Red Bull Racing ever since it was established. Over the years, the Brit has proved that an energy drinks manufacturer can also win Formula 1 championships. Having beaten factory teams like Mercedes and Ferrari, Red Bull will soon become a factory team too. It has been all due to the hard work of the engineers and also due to Honda’s exit.
Red Bull has enjoyed immense success in the 2023 F1 season so far. The team had gone on to win every single race this year. Dutch reigning champion Max Verstappen has gone on to put an insane performance to earn seven wins in the nine races that have taken place so far. On the other hand, Mexican Sergio Perez and won two of them. All said and done, the team has a comfortable lead in both the championship standings.
Christian Horner’s presence has been influential in the team’s success. Red Bull is currently enjoying the “halcyon period” according to Horner in an interview with Autosport. The team recently joined Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren and Williams in an exclusive 100 win club. Sunday’s Canadian GP win for Max Verstappen also marked the team’s 100 win. This in turn has a few teams riled up.
Christian Horner still feels Red Bull is one of the newer teams on the block

In an interview, here is what he had to say. “We’re still relatively the new kids on the block. We’re still one of the newer teams in Formula 1, as it were. But you can see the following of the team growing and growing. And only history will dictate what we go on to ultimately achieve and do,” he said. “There’s probably a lot of people that think we’re gonna fall on our face by picking that route. But, believe me, there’s determination within this group to make sure that it succeeds,” he concluded.
Christian Horner and Red Bull have gone on to dominate the entire field this year. Ever since Max Verstappen beat Lewis Hamilton to win the 2021 World Drivers championship, Red Bull’s dominant run hasn’t stopped. It will be interesting to see how far the team can go with these performances. With Mercedes and Aston Martin working on upgrades to catch up with Red Bull, will they be able to do so by the end of the season?
