Christian Horner and Red Bull Racing have achieved a great amount of success over the past two years. After barely being able to compete with Mercedes and Ferrari, the Milton Keynes-based outfit, stepped it up in 2020. The Bulls went on to become the second most successful team on the grid according to the constructor standings. However, this was not where the team intended to stop now.

Red Bull further went on to gain momentum and win the drivers championship in 2021 with Max Verstappen. After becoming world champions following a multi-year draught, The brand value of the team increased drastically. This led to the team getting more and more lucrative sponsorship deals. It further led to heaps of income coming into the team every season.

Currently, Red Bull Racing has 34 sponsors who are a part of the team. The team used to have 15 licensing partners a few years ago. However, with their increasing popularity, Red Bull Racing now has 40 licensing partners and the list keeps on increasing. Some of the prominent sponsors backing them include Walmart, Cash App, Hard Rock etc but this is just the tip of the iceberg.

After winning the 2021, the Milton Keynes-based outfit announced that Oracle would become their title sponsor for 2022 and beyond. This was one of the biggest title sponsorship deals to have been made in the history of F1. According to the reports, Oracle will be paying the team hundred million dollars a year for the next five years. Commercial Director Nick Stocker stated that Christian Horner wants to fund the team’s operations solely from the revenue incurred from sponsors.

With the funds that are accumulated from the sponsors, Christian Horner he is very close to actually achieving his target as stated by Stocker. This will lead to Red Bull becoming the first team to fund their Formula 1 operations solely with the funds that the sponsors provide. This would save the energy drinks manufacturer a ton of money. With the budget cap already being in place, Christian’s goal seems to be very much is doable for the Milton Keynes-based outfit.
