It was a special occasion for the Stroll family the past weekend as Chloe Stroll tied the knot with Australian snowboarder Scotty James. Chloe is the daughter of Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll who owns the Aston Martin F1 team. The bride is also the sister of current Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll. However, the Stroll family wasn’t the only one with an F1 connection at this exclusive wedding.

Daniel Ricciardo served as a groomsman for his fellow countryman Scotty James. The Honey Badger traveled to Venice along with his partner, Heidi Berger, to attend this luxurious event. Ricciardo posted pictures from the wedding on his Instagram to give fans a brief look.

Certainly, it seemed that Ricciardo had a blast during the weekend as he made the day special for Scotty as well as Chloe. The Australian driver might make an unlikely pair with Lance Stroll, but as per reports, Daniel enjoyed alongside his former rival on the grid. Moreover, the 33-year-old role in the wedding was crucial as he witnessed his good friend start a new journey.

While Chloe comes from the uber-rich Stroll family, Scotty, too, has made a mark on the global sphere. The Australian snowboarder is an Olympic medalist as he won the Bronze medal for his country in the 2018 Winter Olympics. James is often said to be a close confidant of Ricciardo. However, Chloe and Scotty met after being introduced by Lance Stroll some time ago.

Perhaps the endearing couple was looking to just spend the biggest day of their lives with their closest ones. Nevertheless, fans loved to see Daniel getting some time to mingle with the Stroll family as the Australian driver spends a year on the sidelines.

Thus, Daniel Ricciardo enjoyed his time in Venice over the weekend as one of his closest friends got married. The 33-year-old seemed to be delighted as he got the chance to play an important role in this rather special wedding. Ricciardo might be forming a closer link to the Stroll family.
