“End of an era”: Fans share their heart-rending comments as Ferrari posts a picture of Sebastian Vettel with his former crew at the Scuderia

Sebastian Vettel
Sebastian Vettel bid adieu to the career that he had built in Formula 1 for 15 years from his debut in 2007 till his exit from the sport in 2022. The German racer entered the pinnacle of motorsports holding hands with BMW Sauber, and had shifted to Toro Rosso, the previous version of today’s Scuderia Alpha Tauri, for a short stint at the Italian outfit. Then, Sebastian Vettel was taken up by Red Bull as their newest recruit in place of David Coulthard, who retired in 2009.
At Red Bull, Sebastian Vettel lived up to the hype that had already been built around him because of Dietrich Mateschitz‘s words describing his racing abilities–“Vettel is one of the young guys with extraordinary potential.” During his years with the Austrian team from 2010 to 2013, Vettel was virtually unbeatable behind the wheels of his Red Bull racecars as he scored back-to-back World Championship victories. And finally, parting ways with the Austrian team in 2014, Vettel moved to Ferrari for the new season.
At Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel was given the top-of-the-class race engineers and performance engineers to help him win the races. While he could not get back to his title-winning form to gather more World Championships, he did win many Grands Prix–and it was largely in part due to the huge support that Sebastian Vettel received from his crew members at the Scuderia. Now that the German has stepped out of F1, a post came out on the Ferrari official Twitter page, and it showed Sebastian Vettel posing with his old friends from the Maranello outfit for one last time.
