“He showed such massive performances. He is such a good driver first place, but also he is such a great personality,” remarked Ten Hag about Verstappen, who has established himself as one of the top drivers in the sport. With pre-season testing wrapped up, all eyes are on the inaugural race this weekend. According to reports, Verstappen is in an excellent position to defend his title and win a third one consecutively.

“He knows how to win, and I am sure he will do the same this year,” added Ten Hag, who currently manages Manchester United. Verstappen and Red Bull dominated the 2022 season, winning 17 out of 22 races. Despite starting the season at a disadvantage, they bounced back and won the championship by overhauling a deficit of 46 points to his closest rival, Charles Leclerc.

Verstappen will be starting his ninth season this year, and it will be his eighth with his team. Ten Hag describes him as “very consistent, young, and also very experienced.” The Dutch manager is confident that Verstappen will make the Netherlands proud once again this year. “He has made everyone in the Netherlands very proud,” he said. 

As the first practice approaches, teams and spectators are waiting with bated breath to get a clear indication of the pecking order for this year’s championship. Many teams have reported making significant gains over the winter, and Red Bull will be hoping for a tough fight with other teams. The orange army will be ready to cheer on their hero for this season as well and hope that he will make them all proud and happy.
