Former F1 driver Nicholas Latifi has gone on to shock the racing world with his recent announcement. Ever since the 2021 Abu Dhabi grand prix, the Canadian had decreased his social media involvement a bit due to the constant harassment by some fans. Latifi had a big role to play in Max Verstappen’s first championship title charge. Some fans still hold it against the Canadian racer. However Nicholas had yet again stayed away from social media after losing his seat last year.
Nicholas Latifi has competed in 61 F1 races in his short lived career in the sport. He had a career best result of 7th place at the Hungarian GP. However, at the end of 2022, the Canadian lost his seat and was replaced by Logan Sargeant for this season. Ever since then, Latifi had basically gone AWOL. However, there’s news now on Latifi’s plan for the future.
In a surprising post on social media, Nicholas Latifi revealed his plans for the future. After a while of absence, it has come to everyone’s notice that the Canadian wasn’t planning to pursue racing in another category of motorsport. Latifi’s plans were completely different as the former F1 driver plans to start studying and get his MBA.
In his post, here is what the former Williams racer had to say. “I decided very early on in the year that I wouldn’t have any racing plans for 2023,” he wrote. “It definitely felt very strange not having the same routine I’d been in for over half my life,” he said. “Knowing that I wouldn’t be behind the wheel of a race car this year, I had obviously begun to think of what could be next for me, whether that involved racing or something completely different,” he continued.
Nicholas Latifi got into London Business School and will start his MBA course next month

Nicholas Latifi explained how he made the decision to pursue MBA and spent all his time researching for the best opportunity. “This was not an easy process and took many months! Anyone who has experienced the journey of applying to a business school knows how difficult it can be,” he said. “After a five-month journey from starting the process, I am pleased to say that my candidacy was accepted for a place in the MBA program at London Business School (LBS), which I will be starting in August of this year,” he stated.
Nicholas Latifi is the son of Michael Latifi, an Iranian-Canadian businessman who runs Sofina Foods, Inc. is the CEO of and also the owner of Nidala, a British Virgin Islands company. His mother is also pretty rich as she founded the dairy company Saputo Inc. All things considered, it is not a surprise to see Latifi pursuing a career in business. It could be a good possibility that he would take control of the family business once his MBA is over.
