Lewis Hamilton scored an impressive P2 finish at the recent US GP on Sunday, but unfortunately, he was disqualified for failing the post-race inspection. But despite the final result, it was a race lot of positives for Mercedes. He could’ve won the race against Max Verstappen without a poor pit strategy. Now, Ex-F1 driver Timo Glock has come forth, claiming that the team will be challenging Red Bull from the start of the 2024 season.

Glock pointed out that finally understands the direction things need to go. They seem to have found a solution after two years of underwhelming car development. He highlighted that Both W14 and McLaren’s McL60 have gotten more reminiscent of Red Bull’s RB19.

I think the car is simply more reminiscent of the Red Bull and McLaren. It was clear to see that things are moving more and more in the right direction—even now with the update, which worked very well for Lewis Hamilton.

Glock said, as reported by Crash.net.

Glock trusted Mercedes’ development crew and said they had learned enough to create a car capable of competing with Red Bull next year. He is ‘excited’ about the next season’s competition.
