“F1 doesn’t deserve his time,” Fans bash F1 in protest against pre-Miami GP event featuring Lewis Hamilton

It has been over a year since Lewis Hamilton got his 103rd Grand Prix victory at the 2021 Formula 1 at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. The seven-time World Champion went into 2022 with a massive goal of avenging his Championship loss to Max Verstappen in the previous season, but the Briton could not even get a single race victory throughout last year. Thus, the fans of Lewis Hamilton are rightfully disappointed with how he has not been able to perform at his best recently, and they believe the ever-changing rules of F1 are to blame for this.

When the 2023 season was yet to begin, Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff had said that they were working hard to make sure the German team gets back to its winning ways soon. But the first three races of the year yielded only one podium finish thanks to Lewis’ brilliant efforts behind the wheels at the Australian GP. At the recently-held first round of Qualifying for the Azerbaijan GP, Lewis got yet another disappointing position as he could only get a P5 finish behind the two Ferrari’s and the two Red Bulls.

But recently, news broke that Lewis Hamilton will feature at Formula One’s newest venture called the ‘Formula 1 Accelerate Summit’, which will be a ore-race conference to be held ahead of the Miami Grand Prix. This has caused the fans to feel dejected because they believe F1 is using Hamilton for publicity purposes even though their rules have hurt his chances of winning races.

In other news, Lewis Hamilton achieved a P5 position in the first round of the Qualifying Sesssion, surpassing teammate George Russell. But he has to go up against the formidable Red Bull and Ferrari duo if the Briton wants to aim for a second podium in a row at the Azerbaijan GP. Now, it remains to be seen if the seven-time World Champion fails in this quest, or pulls a surprise move to end up at the top in the Baku race.
