“How much porridge did he eat today?!”: Fans exclaim with joy as Valtteri Bottas qualifies P6 for the Mexican Grand Prix

Valtteri Bottas qualified P6 for the Mexican Grand Prix
Valtteri Bottas, the sole Finnish driver on the F1 grid this year, has had a moderately decent points tally this season as the Alfa Romeo team tackled various issues throughout the year. Fundamentally lacking the pace compared to their rivals such as Alpine while barely managing to stay ahead of Aston Martin in the championship. As such the Mexican Grand Prix was a crucial event for Bottas and the team as the Alfa Romeo car looked well-suited for the track.
For Qualifying, the team certainly had high expectations of an entry into Q3 for both Bottas and his teammate Zhou Guanyu. In Q1, The Finn surprised most of the viewers by placing himself at P3 of the timesheets for most of the session, an indication of the Alfa Romeo C42’s suitability for the Mexican track, as well as the effect of the new upgrades introduced at last week’s race at Austin.
Throughout Qualifying, Bottas was right up there with the top 6, giving his level best for the team right when it mattered, the Finn ended the session with a P6 for tomorrow’s race, with his teammate qualifying P12. An incredible result for the team as they look to solidify their place as P6 in the constructor’s championship over chief rivals Aston Martin, which had a poor performance with both cars being knocked out in Q1.
F1 Twitter goes bonkers over Valtteri Bottas’ P6

As soon as the session ended, fans were ecstatic, tweeting in their responses for Bottas’s result. The Alfa Romeo Twitter account was filled with positive responses and wishes for a good race tomorrow. One fan replied, “How much porridge did he eat today?!”, a nod to the Finn’s habit of eating porridge as breakfast. Fans complimented his drive with tweets such as, “He’s the GOAT” and “he’s a legend.” Fans are delighted to see Valtteri perform well and some even hope for the 33-year-old to score a potential podium finish tomorrow.
