As Alfa Romeo’s renewed racer for the 2024 season, Zhou Guanyu has managed to secure another year in the coveted seat that F2 winner Theo Pourchaire was vying for. But the Chinese youngster had a very uneventful run in 2023 besides teammate Valtteri Bottas, having scored only 6 points for his Swiss outfit. Despite the recently-ended F1 season not being the best display of Zhou’s skills, the 24-year-old has become a star in the F1 town during the off-season thanks to his social media shenanigans.
Taking to his Instagram account, Zhou has been posting some bits of his life during the winter break in Formula 1 for his fans to see. And it seems like the Chinese is taking a few pages off of Lewis Hamilton‘s book to become a favored face in F1. Only a few days ago, he posted pictures of himself sporting dreadlocks that made him look almost unrecognizable. The photos earned him comments from the fans that claimed he looked like ‘Lewis from Chinatown’.
In his most recent Instagram post, Zhou Guanyu has revealed that he has adopted a pet kitten. He showed the pictures of the adorable addition to his family on Instagram and X and they soon went viral on other social media platforms as well. The fans poured in with their comments on the picture of the Chinese racer and his new feline friend.

Zhou Guanyu has become quite active on social media ever since the end of the F1 2023 season. He even posted some shots from his shoot for the Esquire magazine with the caption–“Mr. Fashion December Cover“. But his latest post about the kitten he has recently adopted has won the hearts of his fans. Thus, they have given all sorts of wholesome reactions to the photos.

In other news, Zhou’s teammate Valtteri Bottas has made his plans for the rest of the F1 season break known. The Finn will be switching careers to try out cycling this winter, perhaps inspired by his partner Tiffany Cromwell. Bottas’ has confirmed he will travel to Adelaide, Australia, to be with Tiffany and they will try out some competitive cycling together.
